Dog or cat ears can be quite sensitive and prone to infection. Here's a quick, natural way to help keep infection and smells at bay.
What you’ll need:
ROYALE® facial tissue
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup warm water
Instructions:
Mix together the apple cider vinegar and water.
Dip your ROYALE® facial tissue into the ear cleaning mixture and insert the tissue into your dog or cat's ear by moving your finger around gently to clean debris and massage the apple cider vinegar solution into the ear. Be careful when inserting the tissue and your finger into the ear canal to ensure you don't injure your pet!
Take a dry sheet of tissue and dry the inside of their ear.
Repeat on the other ear.
Make sure to give your buddy a treat when you're done to let them know how good they are.
Veterinarians recommend keeping your pet's ears clean as a part of your normal grooming routine. Animals who are prone to ear infections often benefit from more frequent ear cleanings. Be sure to keep a close eye on your pet's ears, if they appear to be irritated, swollen, and/or red please reach out to your veterinarian. This tip is here to help with ear hygiene maintenance and is not a cure for an ear infection.
